Terry Pratchett Speaks about Alzheimers

At the age of 59, Terry Pratchett was diagnosed in November last year with a rare form of early onset Alzheimer’s. “I would have liked to keep this one quiet for a little while, but it seems to me unfair to withhold the news,” Pratchett wrote on a web site. “We are taking it fairly philosophically down here and possibly with a mild optimism.”

The Chef Factor

The Grafton Shopping Centre, Theatre of Food has turned up the heat.

Do you sizzle like Jamie Oliver?  Can you raise temperatures like Nigella Lawson?   If so, we want to hear from you.  The Grafton in association with The Cambridge Evening News wants to put the next celebrity chef on the menu at the Theatre of Food.

Three finalists will be selected to prepare and present a simple starter in front of a live audience – just as they do on television!  Celebrity chef Richard Cawley, a veteran of Ready Steady Cook, who can spot a star by how they create a starter, will host the ‘Kitchen Heats’ taking place on Sunday, May 13.
