A new initiative, launched by SJPR’s Sarah-Jane, is generating enormous interest.
S-J, and she won’t mind us announcing this, is 40 in March, and she decided to embark on another fundraising initiative in memory of her dear mum. Sarah-Jane lost her mum to Alzheimers in November 2010, and she remains dedicated to the cause – raising awareness and money for the charity.
S-J invited friends, clients and work colleagues to ‘challenge’ her… and what started out as a small idea, has developed into something with enormous potential.
Challenges include: marathon running, sky diving, mountain climbing, car racing, weightlifting – through to beer drinking, belly dancing, pole dancing and karaoke endurance…
S-J is busy recruiting willing volunteers, and company sponsorships/involvement to make the challenges happen.
For more information, and to get involved or help – please email sj@spr.co.uk
The website www.sportyafter40.co.uk will be live soon – but in the meantime, more information can be found @ http://www.justgiving.com/Sarah-JaneCousins/ or Facebook Group ‘Alzheimers Stuff’.
